The sanctuary in Otjiwarango

Well my photography skills really failed me today.  I ended up with blurry pictures of the sanctuary and no pictures of the congregation.  But it was good to be with them and celebrate communion.
Here two of the members are setting up for communion.

You can see a little bit of the building and the worship space in these pictures and Auntie Jeanette does a nice job with decorating.

The little white pagodas on the chancel have candles that are lit for a very nice effect.

This is Immanuel Valentino a member of the congregation who has heard the call to ministry and is working to start a youth ministry.  He also translates for the members who are from Angola.  During the war in Angola there were many refugees.  Some have remained in Namibia.  They are congregationalists who speak Portugese.  So the fact that I can't lead worship or preach in Afrikaans made no difference to them!

Here is a some of the members from Angola and their "bus" to church.  David goes and gives them a ride.
