Why I walk to the settlement

It has been a 40 minute walk to the settlement passing by the GK Wahl Combined School, the new construction, the Roadhouse, the clinic and the Sewing Project.  Going the direct route is a 20 minute walk.  But there are reasons for making the effort.  This is one of them.

Emmanuel just turned two with all the joy and mischief (mine is a favorite word) that means.  It is likely he will be quadilingual- learning English in school and speaking Damara and Afrikaans in the home and living in the Location with playing with children who speak Otjiherero.
