As we walk back from the settlement to the church ground we pass two riverbeds. When I saw them and remembered the river that parallels the railroad track I realized that in a flood we are cut off from the settlement and the highway. My old emergency management training kicked in and I wondered what my flood control friends would say. I am sure they would want to build a few cement flood control channels. We shall see what they look like when the rainy season comes soon.
