Okay so Santa has one and it is filled with tiny little elves. Baby Jesus has one too. It is filled with beautiful children!
Today the Sunday School is making Advent Candles. We saved and collected tin cans, soda pop cans, toilet paper and paper towel rolls. Then we covered them with pink, purple tissue paper and white printer paper. (I had scoured the town of Otjiwarango for Sunday School supplies and just happened to find pink and purple tissue paper in a sale/to be tossed bin months before and grabbed it for some unknown project at the time! There are no coincidences.) Then we made white paper flames and colored and glittered them so they would shine.
We made one set and a booklet for the church and all the households in the church.
From left going clockwise: Geraldo 9, William 12, Cyrill 5, Sharifa 8 and Jaydine- a week from 5. Two sets of siblings (front two and back three)
And continued decorating the sanctuary.
I told Geraldo if he got in the pulpit one more time he would have to preach. This was the last time he did it! I don't preach from there myself- too far and too "far" from the 7-15 people in the pews for me. I only preached from there during the induction service so that the 150 people could see and hear me!
Sweet girls! (Most of the time- tough and rough the rest!! They are and will be a wonderful bright and capableforce to be reckoned with!)
