A Movie Date

It is summer and it is hot.  School is out.  There are only three of us to play and the days are long.  It sun is too hot to walk, run, dance and play outside.  (Even two against one soccer is too much for Pastor and the ball got deflated and won't hold air- that happens when you sit on it we found out).

We finally broke down and dug out some movies I brought with me and watched them on the DVD player I bought in Windhoek.

The favorites?  Ratatouille and Flushed Away (the rat movies), the Santa Claus (I & II), Elf, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins (the singing and dancing movies).  Sometimes we colored or played Uno or Go Fish and sometimes we just watched the movie.  Sometimes we had popcorn and sometimes oranges.  Sometimes we talked about the movie and often afterwards we quoted it.  "Why are you smiling?"  "Smiling's my favorite!" "Well now make work your favorite!"  (Elf)

A "model" couple of kids for a movie date every day.
