Our second stop on the field trip was Palapye to visit the ruins of the first church in Botswana and visit the people there. We had a little detour getting lost along the way...
But the people were there waiting and welcomed us singing and we reciprocated by singing to them.
We gathered there amidst the ruins of what must have been a beautiful church and heard the stories.
And hiked a little to see the ruins of the homes. The colors were so dramatic.
The man below is in traditional Zulu dress with triangles of different colors.

And then we had the amazing feast they had prepared for us.
