Trip to Botswana Day 11, part 2

March 28 Friday

After lunch and visiting we went to the 60th birthday party for the Treasurer of the church at the farm.  It was
a great big buffet.

His wife's pastor from the Seventh Day Adventist church gave a devotion.

And he gave thanks for the 60 years of blessing in his life, his family and career and friends.  He told us that the next phase of his life would be dedicated to serving God.

I watched the children play, sitting in a tire.  They were so fascinated with spending time together and the water bottle.  I was fascinated watching them.

Daddy and daughter time.

Friends from the church who later sang and danced.

A cutie eating corn on the cob- here called mealies.

This little one was filled with energy- riding his mom's back like a horsie- I wondered how her back held up and she said he does it all the time!

This guy wanted me to take his picture "looking cool."

A straw becomes a toy to share.

Mother and daughter.

Cutting and sharing cake after the big buffet of 6 types of meat, beans, mealies, pap, sourghum and watermelon.
